Sea Safari Diving Centre is based in Iboih, Sabang, Pulau Weh, Sumatra, Indonesia.

Pulau Weh diving is spectacular and world class. The island is the most northwestern in Indonesia, and its waters are a meeting point of the Andaman Sea and Indian Ocean. The diving can be challenging with deep waters and strong currents, however divers are rewarded with almost endless varieties of reef fish and diverse marine life. Water temperatures are usually in the range of 28-29 degrees Celsius, visibility is upwards to 25mts.
Diving season is open all year round, closing occasionally for religous and cultral observances of Hari Raya Idul Fitri (Eid), Hari Raya Ad’ha (Haji), Celebration of the Sea (May) and half days for Independence day on the 17 th Aug as well as Dec 26 th in memory of the Tsunami victims. Water activies would be suspended for any burial in Iboih.

There are dive sites to suit all tastes and diver experience levels, from never dived before to the very experienced diver. Whether you are interested in macro and photography, pelagics and sharks, gentle coral reef dives or if you enjoy a challenge and like to go with the flow. You can find it all here, including Nemo.
Our expert local dive guides and instructors are very experienced and will read the conditions of the dive and you will be guided on the dives to help you discover the wonders of Weh’s underwater beauty.
Sea Safari is located in Iboih, and the diving sites of Pulau Weh are just a short boat drive away. Most of these beautiful world class dive sites are only 10 to 20 minute drive away, a few dive sites are a further away.

Due to religious cultural traditions; diving, snorkelling and dolphin sightseeing trips are not allowed from Thursday evening at 18:00 until Friday afternoon 14:00. This applies to the whole region of Aceh.
We do 2 boat dives each day and return to Iboih between each dive for a relaxing surface interval. Special requests can be made for a 3 dive schedule. Night dives are available on request except for Thursday nights and need a minimum of 2 divers. We have various sized boats to suit small or large groups and special request scheduling.
Common to all dive sites are lionfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, octopus, boxfish, trevally, unicorn and surgeon fish, groupers, trigger and parrot fish, wrasse, crustaceans, and various sea stars and sea cucumbers. Large gorgonian sea fans cover the deep dive sites like carpet, beautiful hard corals and gently swaying soft corals grow in abundance in both the deep and shallow sites.
Many dive sites have resident reef sharks and turtles. Manta, eagle and squadrons of devil rays make multi-seasonal appearances and mola-mola sunfish annually. Crazy critters and macro such as frogfish, mimic octopus, seahorses, rhinopia scorpion fish and nudibranchs.
